Sites and trips
Nimrod Observatory, located in the Rosh Pina settlement, is a place with a special, quiet and sacred atmosphere. The observatory is named after Nimrod Segev, who was killed in the Second Lebanon War and was built by his father, Hezi Segev, who wanted to perpetuate Nimrod's name and pass on his legacy to all visitors and future generations.
Pina - Descends from Safed eastward to the picturesque settlement of Rosh Pina in steep places. In its upper part, it is a disappointing stream that begins in a rugged landscape with spectacular views eastward to the Jordan Valley, its middle part is a green nature reserve with three springs - Ein Gay-Oni, Ein Pina and Ein Kadan, and its lower part, where we will not hike, flows first through a pipe under the town of Rosh Pina, continues in an open channel to a reservoir northwest of the village of Hanasi, and the surplus flows to the mountainous Jordan.
The pond, which is an excellent spot for observing birds during their migration, is the result of the re-flooding of the Hula marsh areas that were drained in the 1950s. It is located about a 15-minute drive from the estate.
